Accessibility
Last updated: June 30, 2026
BiTechForge builds software for everyone. Accessibility is not an afterthought — it is a core part of how we design, develop, and deliver digital products. This statement explains our current accessibility posture and how to get help if you encounter a barrier.
Our Commitment
BiTechForge is committed to ensuring our website and the digital products we build are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe inclusive design is good design — and we actively apply this principle both to our own platforms and to client deliverables.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our baseline standard.
Accessibility Standards We Follow
Our development and design practices are guided by:
• WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) — the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility.
• WAI-ARIA 1.2 — roles, states, and properties for dynamic content and custom UI components.
• Section 508 — for clients operating under US federal accessibility requirements.
• EN 301 549 — the European standard for ICT accessibility.
What We Do
Across our website and the products we build, we implement:
• Semantic HTML: Proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and form elements so assistive technologies can navigate effectively.
• Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators.
• Screen reader support: Content is structured and labelled so screen readers (e.g. NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) can convey it accurately.
• Colour contrast: Text and UI elements meet a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 (AA) against their backgrounds.
• Scalable text: Our interfaces respond correctly to browser text size adjustments up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
• Alt text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes.
• Captions & transcripts: Video content includes accurate captions; audio content includes transcripts where applicable.
• Reduced motion: Animations respect the `prefers-reduced-motion` media query so users who are sensitive to motion can opt out.
• Form accessibility: Form fields have associated labels, error messages are descriptive, and required fields are clearly indicated.
Assistive Technologies Supported
We test our website and client deliverables with a range of assistive technologies, including:
• NVDA + Chrome (Windows)
• JAWS + Chrome / Edge (Windows)
• VoiceOver + Safari (macOS / iOS)
• TalkBack + Chrome (Android)
• Keyboard-only navigation across all major browsers.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full compliance, some areas of our website or third-party integrations may not yet meet WCAG 2.1 AA in full. We are actively working to identify and remediate these gaps.
If you encounter a specific barrier, please contact us (see below) and we will prioritise a fix or provide an accessible alternative.
Accessibility in Our Client Projects
We build accessibility into every stage of client projects:
• Discovery & design: Accessibility requirements are identified during scoping; colour palettes, typography, and component designs are reviewed for WCAG compliance.
• Development: Developers follow an accessibility checklist covering semantic markup, ARIA usage, focus management, and keyboard operability.
• Testing: We conduct manual keyboard and screen reader testing alongside automated audits (Axe, Lighthouse) before delivery.
• Handover: Accessibility guidance and documentation are included in project handover materials.
